Information Assurance (IA) Policy and Compliance Certified Professional Senior
Accenture Federal Services · Albuquerque, NM
About the role
Leads the Cyber Operations Team for an Accenture Federal Services contract in Albuquerque, running security inside a secure operations centre that supports a Department of Defense, Department of Energy or law enforcement customer. Despite the policy-and-compliance title, the post is a hands-on operations lead: the person both manages the team and does much of the technical work.
The lead coordinates incident analysis and handling, vulnerability management and the day-to-day running of the operations centre. Technical duties include administering Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls, log review, intrusion detection and patching. The role also writes and puts in place the information security policies and procedures the team works under, trains and mentors team members, and explains security matters to both technical and non-technical people across federal and contractor staff.
The posting asks for a long career in the field: ten years with a master's degree or twelve with a bachelor's in information security and cyber operations, including four years at tier 2 or above in a secure environment. Strong networking and TCP/IP knowledge, security product experience and proven team leadership are expected. A GIAC certification such as GSNA or GCIA is needed, or must be earned within six months of contract award. The role is based in Albuquerque and needs an active Secret, Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance, with polygraph for some positions.
