Sr. Manager - Cybersecurity

Leads cybersecurity for AEVEX across corporate IT and defence programme environments from its Tampa office, managing a team that covers cloud security, infrastructure security, vulnerability management and endpoint management. It is a hands-on leadership post in a GCC High Microsoft environment that also runs CrowdStrike, Zscaler, ThreatLocker, NinjaOne, Intune, GitLab, AWS, Azure and self-hosted AI.

The senior manager sets the security roadmap and budget, directs security architecture across cloud, identity, networks and endpoints, oversees vulnerability remediation and incident response, and defines security metrics. With engineering leaders, the role secures development environments and the path software takes from GitLab repositories and CI/CD pipelines to aircraft and other platforms, including artifact integrity, release controls and embedded Linux hardening. It also sets requirements for self-hosted AI covering model access, data handling and prompt injection, and maintains policies and evidence for CMMC readiness and SOX IT controls with compliance and audit teams.

Candidates need experience leading technical security teams while staying hands-on, ideally in aerospace, defence or the Defense Industrial Base, plus a solid grasp of vulnerability management, hardening and access control. Familiarity with RMF, secure boot, code signing, SBOMs, software supply chain security, Git-based CI/CD and secrets management is expected, along with the ability to assess network trust boundaries. The role is hybrid with up to 20% travel.
