System Security Engineer, Space
Anduril Industries · Costa Mesa, California, United States
About the role
The technical security authority for one or more Anduril space programmes, owning the security architecture of spacecraft bus, payload, command and telemetry links, ground segment and supply chain. It is an engineering job rather than a compliance one: ISSOs and ISSMs handle accreditation, while this engineer makes the system secure and works with them.
The engineer turns threat intelligence and mission needs into requirements for each subsystem, designs link authentication, encryption and key management, defines secure boot and update paths for hardware that cannot be reached after launch, builds threat models, runs security verification up to end-to-end tests, works with red teams, and owns security content at major design reviews. It calls for multi-segment security architecture experience, government programme work, an active clearance and CCNP or equivalent.
