Security Data Engineer

Owns the security data behind Anthropic's data center security engineering group (DCSE), which protects the sites that train and serve Claude. The engineer builds a per-component hardware inventory that tracks each part's location and chain of custody, the site and host software that captures custody events, and the continuous control monitoring pipelines that score each site against the compliance frameworks it is assessed under.

The job includes data quality checks, tamper-evident stores, reporting and AI agents that automate reconciliation and audit exports. It needs experience running production data pipelines kept correct over time, integrating systems you do not control, field software, and data about physical assets or security controls. Based in San Francisco, with US remote candidates considered, and regular site travel.
