Security Risk Analyst, Risk Engineering
Anthropic · San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY
About the role
Security Risk Analyst on Anthropic's Security Risk team, which is rebuilding risk management as an engineering function alongside Security Engineering and feeds decisions made at CISO level. The analyst picks up questions about risk from leaders and partner teams and drives them to documented decisions, sometimes through quick qualitative assessment and sometimes through FAIR-based quantitative analysis with calibrated estimates and simulation. The work also covers judging threat scenarios and control effectiveness, framing escalations with clear recommendations, shaping leadership risk reviews, risk appetite and metrics, and using AI and automation to make risk analysis reusable and self-service.
Anthropic wants someone whose security or technology risk analysis has changed a real decision, hands-on FAIR-style quantification with Monte Carlo in Python, R or spreadsheets, and enough technical depth to break down attack paths with engineers.
