About the role
An engineer-first member of Axon's security operations centre, reporting to the Manager of Information Security Engineering and working on site in Scottsdale or Seattle. The engineer triages alerts and phishing reports, joins the on-call rotation, owns incidents through root cause, and replaces repetitive SOC work with automation and tool integrations.
Other work includes writing detections as code, onboarding log sources, supporting access reviews and offboarding, and automating audit evidence. Axon wants two years in security engineering, SOC or detection work, strong Python, shell and Git, incident response experience, a SIEM or SOAR platform, infrastructure as code and CI/CD. Candidates must pass an FBI background check for CJIS access.
