Director of Product Management, Security

Leads security product management for FlashArray, the flagship storage platform of Everpure (Pure Storage), building and directing the team of product managers responsible for the platform's overall security posture. Working with executive leadership, engineering and the CTO office, the director sets long-term objectives, budget priorities and resource plans, and builds secure-by-design capabilities into the portfolio.

The role owns the multi-year security roadmap across encryption, identity and access management and zero trust, and leads the strategy for winning and keeping certifications such as FIPS, Common Criteria and FedRAMP so the product can be sold into public sector and regulated markets. It oversees threat response and the vulnerability lifecycle for the installed base, with an emphasis on fast patching that protects customer uptime, and works with sales and marketing to explain the platform's security value to enterprise and government buyers. Coaching product managers and setting the team's goals and staffing are central.

Candidates need a record of recruiting and leading high-performing product management teams, deep technical command of enterprise security protocols, encryption, identity management and distributed storage architecture, and thorough knowledge of NIST, FedRAMP, FIPS and GDPR as they apply to hardware and software. Strong communication with executives and major customers is expected. The role is in the Santa Clara office.
