About the role
Designs and builds security telemetry pipelines for clients of GuidePoint Security's Mid-Atlantic SecOps practice, working remotely. The engineer deploys Cribl and comparable pipeline platforms, onboards and normalises logs from cloud, SaaS, identity, EDR and network sources into schemas such as OCSF and CIM, cuts SIEM costs through filtering, enrichment and tiered storage, builds masking and access controls into the data flow, leads the data side of SIEM migrations, and briefs client CISOs and CFOs on results.
It asks for five years in cybersecurity, IT operations or data engineering, three running production telemetry pipelines, hands-on Cribl or similar, SIEM knowledge, client-facing delivery experience, and Cribl certification within 90 days. Up to 15% travel.
