Threat Emulation Engineer - Blue/Purple Team

A threat emulation engineer in GuidePoint Security's Federal region who leads automated security validation deployments, such as Mandiant Security Validation, for government customers on site in Chantilly, Virginia. The engineer assesses customer posture and requirements, designs validation use cases, helps customers get lasting value from the tooling and teaches them to run it themselves. Training on the platform is provided.

An active TS/SCI clearance with a counter-intelligence polygraph in the last ten years is required, plus five to ten years of security systems engineering, a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, strong knowledge of adversary techniques and MITRE ATT&CK, log ingestion design, and Windows, macOS and Linux skills. SIEM, breach and attack simulation and red or purple team experience are preferred.
