About the role
Runs day-to-day operations of Handshake's global privacy program from within the Legal team, reporting to the Senior Director & Counsel, Compliance. The associate reviews vendors' data handling and DPAs, keeps subprocessor records, helps prepare DPIAs, LIAs and TIAs, maintains records of processing and retention schedules, administers the Ketch consent and rights platform, runs cookie scans, answers customer privacy questionnaires and audits, supports breach triage with Security, tracks new privacy and AI laws, and helps deliver training.
Handshake wants at least two years in privacy, compliance, risk or legal operations, working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and US state privacy laws, experience with privacy assessments and rights requests, and sound judgement about when to escalate. Ketch or OneTrust and CIPP, CIPM or CIPT are pluses.
