Senior Security Engineer (Infrastructure)

About the role
An early member of Headway's security team who leads infrastructure security engineering for a health platform serving therapists, patients and insurers. The engineer works with product and infrastructure teams on system design and security reviews, builds guardrails that make secure choices the default, matures cloud security posture across AWS with an AI-driven approach to configuration standards, hardening and vulnerability fixes, and helps with incident response and vulnerability management. Tools include Wiz, Cloudflare, Semgrep, Kubernetes and AI coding assistants.
Headway wants five or more years in security or software engineering with a record of security projects or generalist security work, deep technical breadth in building secure platforms, comfort with design and code reviews, and interest in using AI to reshape infrastructure security.
