Director, Product Management

Leads product management for advanced security workflows on Illumio's Insights platform, focused on threat detection and behavioural analysis for security operations teams, and builds and mentors a team of product managers. Illumio's products centre on Zero Trust segmentation and containing breaches before attackers move laterally.

The director owns the vision and multi-year roadmap for Insights security workflows, sets strategy for detection and behavioural analytics aimed at SOC environments, and plans AI and machine learning features that speed investigation and triage. The role works with engineering leaders across several teams on requirements and priorities, gathers workflow needs from customers, field teams and partners to confirm product-market fit, plans integrations with SIEM, SOAR and other tools so SOC teams can use Illumio inside existing workflows, and owns competitive positioning with Product Marketing. Building strong product management practice as the organisation grows is part of the remit.

Illumio wants a decade or more in product management or adjacent engineering or pre-sales work in security or networking, at least five of them as a PM on security analytics, detection or workflow products, three or more managing product managers, and a practitioner's grasp of how SOC teams investigate network threats. Experience with flow data, behavioural detection and AI for security is a plus. The role is on site five days a week in Sunnyvale, California, and offers depend on US export control eligibility.
