Member of Technical Staff II, Cloud Security

A software engineer on Illumio's cloud security engineering team who builds containerised Go microservices in a distributed, multi-tenant system that ingests events and network telemetry from several public clouds and turns them into real-time visibility, insights and security recommendations for customers. The engineer designs and defends their own services, owns features through the full lifecycle including operations and testing, works with Product Management on requirements, and mentors junior engineers and interns.

Illumio wants a computer science degree, two or more years building distributed systems, programming-level experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Go and SQL, Kubernetes and container delivery, and TCP/IP and Linux knowledge. The role is on site five days a week in Sunnyvale, and offers depend on US export control eligibility.
