Senior Engineer, Cloud Security

About the role
Builds part of Illumio's cloud security product as a senior engineer, working on containerised microservices in a multi-tenant system that ingests network telemetry and events from several public clouds and turns them into live visibility and security recommendations that help customers cut cloud risk. The engineer designs and defends their own services, owns features from requirements through deployment and operation, tests their own code and mentors junior engineers.
The team wants at least four years building distributed systems, programming-level use of AWS, Azure or GCP, Go and SQL, and comfort with Kubernetes, REST APIs, TCP/IP and Linux. The job is on site five days a week in Sunnyvale, and offers depend on US export-control eligibility.
