About the role
Builds Illumio's cloud security services at its Sunnyvale headquarters, five days a week on site. The engineer develops containerised microservices for a multi-tenant system that processes real-time events and network telemetry from several public clouds, giving customers visibility and security recommendations to reduce cloud risk. The job includes designing and defending services, owning features through deployment and operation, testing, and mentoring junior engineers.
Illumio asks for four years building distributed systems, deep programmatic experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Go and SQL, REST APIs, Kubernetes, TCP/IP and Linux; Terraform, CloudFormation and security controls experience help.
