Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud Security

About the role
A senior software engineer on Illumio's cloud security product, building Go microservices on Kubernetes that take in events and network telemetry from multiple public clouds and give customers current visibility and recommendations for reducing cloud risk. The engineer designs services, defends them in front of peers, and owns features end to end, including testing, deployment and the operational side of running them in production. Mentoring junior engineers and working with product management on requirements are part of the job.
The posting asks for four or more years on distributed systems, deep API-level use of AWS, Azure or GCP, Go and SQL, and knowledge of REST, TCP/IP and Linux. It is on site five days a week in Sunnyvale, subject to US export-control eligibility.
