Staff Engineer, Cloud Security

Works as a staff engineer on Illumio's cloud security offering, designing and building Kubernetes-hosted Go services that analyse telemetry and events from public clouds and turn them into risk insight and recommendations for customers. The engineer leads the design of their services and defends it to peers, takes features through build, testing, deployment and live operation, helps product management sharpen requirements and coaches junior engineers.

The posting looks for at least eight years on distributed, scalable systems, heavy programming-level use of one major cloud provider, Go, SQL and REST, plus networking and Linux experience; knowledge of security controls is a plus. The role is fully on site at the Sunnyvale headquarters and offers depend on US export-control eligibility.
