Staff Engineer - Container Security

About the role
A staff engineer building Illumio's container security product at its Sunnyvale headquarters, five days a week on site. The product applies zero trust segmentation down to individual applications and pods so customers can block attack paths inside container environments. The engineer owns the design of major features and subsystems, deepens support for Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift and the managed services from AWS, Azure and Google, works with the field and important customers on direction, and mentors junior engineers.
It asks for eight years building large distributed systems, proficiency in Go, Python or Java, real enthusiasm for Kubernetes, and strong data structures, networking and debugging skills; experience with security controls is a plus.
