Engineering Manager
Infisical · United States & Canada
About the role
Leads ten to twelve engineers across Infisical's Secrets Management and Certificate Management teams as a senior engineering manager working with the CTO and tech leads. Secrets Management delivers more than ten billion secrets a month, and Certificate Management covers PKI, certificate lifecycle automation and signing of release artifacts and binaries; both run in the cloud and in self-hosted, on-premises and air-gapped deployments.
The manager owns engineering delivery across both products, sets clear commitments and handles competing priorities, and owns hiring, onboarding, performance management and the development of strong tech leads. The role balances customer and product work against investment in security, reliability and developer velocity, sets reliability targets, and improves observability, incident response and operational quality. It stays technical, reviewing code and designs and guiding major architecture decisions with the tech leads, and works directly with customers to understand their workflows.
Infisical asks for six years of software engineering including three managing engineers, ideally on developer tooling, infrastructure security or other high-stakes developer software, a record of building high-performing teams and technical leaders, and experience running several workstreams through others. Strong engineering fundamentals, comfort reviewing production code and the ability to talk with customers are expected. Experience with security infrastructure, distributed systems and AI-assisted engineering is a plus. The role is based in the US or Canada, with New York preferred.
