About the role
Cybersecurity Engineer in Jane Street's New York Cybersecurity team, focused on maturing and scaling the firm's vulnerability management programme through automation. The work runs across the whole lifecycle: reviewing findings from scanners, threat intelligence and advisories, ranking them by real exploitability and exposure, validating and deduplicating them and routing fixes to owners, measuring scan coverage and gaps, evaluating scanning platforms, folding in SBOM and software inventory data, and building dashboards for coverage and SLAs. AI tooling is used alongside human judgement where it helps.
The team wants a well-rounded, build-minded engineer with hands-on vulnerability management in a large environment, experience with Rapid7, Tenable or Qualys, comfort with data pipelines and code review, and clear writing.
