About the role
Staff Software Engineer who sets the technical vision and roadmap for Maven Clinic's Identity Platform, the authentication and authorisation systems that control access across its products. The engineer leads design and upkeep of login flows, session management, token issuance and access control, builds cloud identity features including SSO, MFA and federated integrations, sets standards for how services implement auth, works with product, security and compliance on new features, and mentors mid-level engineers.
Maven wants eight or more years of backend development, at least three on authentication, authorisation or identity, deep OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT and passwordless knowledge, distributed systems and cloud experience, and careful handling of PII and credentials. The role is hybrid from New York or other hub cities.
