About the role
Serves as the security engineering expert for containerised environments, service mesh and microservices at MetroStar, working with platform engineers, ISSOs and developers in Reston. The engineer designs and manages controls such as image scanning, runtime protection and RBAC, builds security into CI/CD pipelines to meet RMF, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503 and FedRAMP requirements, and monitors, investigates and assesses threats across the platforms.
The company wants an active TS/SCI, a CISSP or equivalent for DoD 8140, a bachelor's degree, seven or more years as a cybersecurity engineer, Splunk skills, tools such as Fortify and Prisma Cloud, and hands-on work in Kubernetes IL5/IL6+ environments.
