About the role
Secures the container platform behind MetroStar's Defense Intelligence Agency programme in Reston as a senior platform security engineer. The engineer is the subject-matter expert for Kubernetes workloads, service mesh and microservices, implementing image scanning, intrusion detection, endpoint and runtime protection, encryption, RBAC and segmentation, and wiring security checks into DevSecOps pipelines against RMF, ICD 503 and FedRAMP.
The role also monitors logs and alerts, responds to incidents, reviews threat intelligence and documents controls. It needs an active TS/SCI with CI polygraph, a relevant degree, seven years of security control engineering, IL5 or IL6 container experience, Splunk, and tools such as Fortify and Prisma Cloud. A $25k sign-on bonus is offered.
