About the role
A software engineer in Plaid's Security Engineering function, based in the Seattle office, building the security infrastructure that protects sensitive consumer financial data. The team owns secure data storage, the key management system, the internal identity, authentication, permission and authorisation services, and work on encryption, access control and data loss prevention under a zero trust model.
The engineer builds and maintains services such as the KMS and Secure Token Service, advises product engineers on security standards, and helps with incident response and awareness. Plaid asks for experience building scalable systems and architecting software for security, privacy and cost; work on encryption, secrets, authentication or authorisation systems, threat modelling and incident response is a plus.
