Vice President, Privacy & AI Governance | Legal
Red Ventures · United States
About the role
Leads enterprise privacy and AI governance across Red Ventures' portfolio of brands, businesses and legal entities, heading a small privacy team within Legal and acting as the company's senior expert on privacy, regulatory, marketing and emerging AI risk.
The vice president sets the privacy strategy along with the policies, controls and governance that run the program, and owns the AI Governance program, including how AI uses are classified by risk, assessed, documented and monitored so development and deployment stay compliant and auditable. Day-to-day oversight covers privacy risk assessments and records of processing, privacy notices, data-processing terms, and marketing compliance for email, cookies and tracking, phone and text, including TCPA. The role advises product, technology and business leaders on high-risk products, vendors, partnerships and data uses, embeds privacy and AI considerations into how teams build, represents the company on legislative and industry matters with Government Affairs, and reports risk and program metrics to senior leadership while coaching the team.
Red Ventures wants ten or more years in privacy, data protection, regulatory compliance, technology law or AI governance, including significant time leading enterprise privacy programs, strong command of US privacy law in a multi-business company, marketing communications compliance experience and prior people leadership. AI governance program experience and CIPP or CIPM certification are preferred; a JD is a plus but not required. The role is remote or hybrid near Charlotte, with an East Coast preference and Eastern hours.
