Staff Software Engineer, Security Platform

Leads design of the backend systems that protect Robinhood's most sensitive customer data on the Security Platform team, which builds secure data pipelines, tokenization services and privacy compliance infrastructure. The Staff Software Engineer builds services that store, process and route customer data securely, develops token issuance, authentication and anonymisation, defines how authentication works for AI platforms, agents and MCP ecosystems, implements CCPA and GDPR retention and deletion workflows, enforces least privilege with access management engineers, and contributes to data access monitoring.

Robinhood wants eight or more years of backend, data infrastructure or security engineering, Python, Go or Java, AWS and Kubernetes experience, distributed data systems such as Kafka or Snowflake, and a solid grasp of encryption and privacy-focused design. Hybrid, three days a week in Bellevue or Menlo Park.
