Senior Cybersecurity Engineer I -Secret Clearance

A senior cybersecurity engineer in Rocket Lab's Space Systems software organisation in Long Beach, responsible for the security infrastructure of its Space Development Agency programmes. The engineer builds and runs protections for programme networks, servers and applications, performs assessments, scanning and penetration testing, maintains security policies and standards, investigates and remediates incidents, embeds security in development with IT and software teams, and mentors junior engineers and IT staff.

Candidates need a relevant degree, five years in system security engineering, an active Secret clearance and US citizenship, a DoD 8140 intermediate or advanced certification, and strong knowledge of NIST 800, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, firewall, IDS/IPS, SIEM and endpoint tools, and hybrid cloud security.
