Senior Information System Security Officer I

A senior information system security officer at Rocket Lab's headquarters in Long Beach, California, responsible for the security posture of all of the company's classified information systems and for carrying out the Risk Management Framework, working with the ISSM, CPSO/FSO and Government Program Security. The ISSO audits systems, runs vulnerability and risk assessments, manages assured file transfers and configuration control, investigates security violations and incidents, maintains POA&Ms and continuous monitoring to keep each ATO current, oversees media sanitisation and trains system users.

It asks for a degree and five years of experience or nine years in cybersecurity, a DoD 8140 IAM Level II certification within four months, eMASS, NIST 800-53 and 800-171 experience, Nessus and Splunk, and an active Top Secret SCI clearance. The role is on site.
