Sr. Specialist – Security & FuSa. Integration

A senior integration and test engineer in Scout Motors' Engineering organisation in Charlotte who checks that software-defined vehicle platforms meet cybersecurity and functional safety requirements, from individual ECUs through middleware, vehicle networks and over-the-air updates to whole-vehicle testing.

On security, the engineer tests secure boot, flashing, ECU authentication, diagnostics and OTA protections, verifies controls against ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155/R156, plans penetration and vulnerability testing, supports TARA work and validates cryptography, key provisioning and certificates. The safety side covers ISO 26262 verification, fault injection, and recovery testing so ECUs survive interrupted updates, with regression suites spanning SIL, HIL and vehicles. The role asks for a master's degree, ten or more years of experience, and deep knowledge of vehicle E/E architecture, CAN and automotive Ethernet, and UDS diagnostics.
