About the role
Leads the Secureframe engineering team that owns the workforce product set, the part of the product dealing with policies and user access. The role is based in New York and works closely with the Product Manager for that area.
The early focus is on debugging the existing product; after that, the manager and product manager rebuild the policy and user access frameworks. The manager builds and runs a team of four to seven people, handling hiring, mentoring and performance, sets roadmaps together with product, plans and drives delivery, reviews technical designs and the decisions behind them, and is accountable for quality, reliability and user experience. Joining some sales and customer calls is also part of the job.
Secureframe wants at least two years managing remote engineers, including hiring and handling performance, on top of five or more years as a software engineer with a record of designing systems that scale and stay reliable. Strong project management within agile teams, cross-functional collaboration and Ruby experience are expected.
