About the role
A hands-on engineer in Shield AI's X-BAT Division in Seattle who works across network engineering, cybersecurity and server-room infrastructure for the X-BAT ground control station, turning cybersecurity requirements into system architecture and producing the base media solutions the platform runs on.
The engineer enforces network security architecture, designs segmentation, firewalls, VPNs and zero-trust patterns, documents installations and configurations for Authorizations to Operate, applies STIGs and works down POA&M items with cybersecurity engineering, supports threat detection and response, and helps roll out VoIP. Shield AI wants five or more years in platform, security or network engineering, knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and zero trust, enterprise networking hardware and cloud networking. The role is on-site and requires eligibility for a Secret clearance.
