Senior Engineer, Application Security (R6290)

An application security engineer on the cybersecurity engineering team for Shield AI's Hivemind software, based on-site in San Diego. The engineer helps write application security policy, sets up and tunes scanning tools in the CI/CD pipelines, reviews their output and works with developers to fix what turns up, and also works earlier in the lifecycle with the architecture team on threat modelling and secure-by-default design.

Shield AI wants about five years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or four with a master's, in security or software engineering, a background writing or testing secure code, familiarity with threat modelling and static, dynamic and dependency analysis tools, and basic cryptography. GitLab DevSecOps, red teaming and reverse engineering are pluses.
