Senior Engineer, Cybersecurity (R5972)

Leads cybersecurity for an airborne defence platform in Shield AI's RaptorX group, based on-site in Washington, DC, from the avionics, embedded software and mission systems on the aircraft to its networks, communications links and ground-support equipment.

The engineer sets the platform's security architecture and requirements, runs threat modelling, vulnerability and attack-surface analysis, specifies protections such as secure boot, encryption, key management and secure updates, leads DoD Risk Management Framework work and authorisation evidence, reviews supplier and firmware designs, and plans verification including penetration and resiliency testing. Shield AI wants a relevant degree and at least five years on aerospace, defence or other mission-critical embedded systems, knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST guidance and cryptography, and the ability to obtain and hold a security clearance.
