Head of Product

Socket Security's first Head of Product, setting product strategy for the software supply chain security company and building its product function, working directly with founder Feross Aboukhadijeh and the leadership team. The role brings Socket's growing set of products together into one platform and helps define what supply chain security should look like as AI changes how software is written.

The head of product connects customer needs, market openings and the company's technical strengths into a focused set of priorities, joins customer calls and learns from sales and support to understand problems before choosing solutions, and partners with engineering, customer engineering and threat intelligence to turn complex security problems into products that ship. The job includes making prioritisation trade-offs explicit, defining outcomes and success measures rather than launch dates, working with sales on positioning and launches, setting up how roadmaps are planned and communicated, and growing the product team over time while staying hands-on.

Socket looks for senior product leadership experience taking complex products from strategy through launch, ideally building for developers or security teams in security, infrastructure or B2B software. Technical fluency to work through architecture trade-offs with engineers, strong product judgment and clear writing are expected. Experience in supply chain security, application security, vulnerability management or developer tooling, and building a product function at an early-stage company, is preferred. The company is remote-first with quarterly off-sites.
