IT Security Engineer - Top Secret Clearance

An IT security engineer on SpaceX's corporate Information Technology team in Hawthorne who designs, deploys and runs security controls for the company's classified corporate-style networks, carrying lessons from the main enterprise environment into smaller classified ones.

The engineer handles identity and authentication services including hardware tokens, certificate-based login and privileged access, an on-premises SIEM, endpoint protection and vulnerability management; hardens email, file shares, directory services and internal applications and trims standing privilege; leads or supports detection and incident response; and scripts baselines, evidence collection and health checks. SpaceX asks for a STEM degree or four years of enterprise IT security engineering, three years securing traditional IT environments, experience running at least two of SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management platforms, and an active TS/SCI clearance.
