New Graduate Engineer, Security Software (Starshield)
SpaceX · Hawthorne, CA
About the role
Joins SpaceX's Starshield software engineering team in Hawthorne as a new-graduate security engineer (class of 2026 or 2027), working on the security of satellite systems built from Starlink technology for government use.
The work spans cryptographic and other security-critical services, security features in Starshield dishes, routers, gateways and satellites, secure factory processes and supporting network services, and prototyping and hardening of production systems. SpaceX asks for a STEM bachelor's degree, coding skill in Python, C++ or Go, and hands-on security work on operating systems or distributed infrastructure; an advanced degree and experience with TPMs or HSMs help.
