Product Security Engineer (Starlink)

Works on Starlink security at SpaceX's Bastrop, Texas site as a product security engineer, helping make the software in Starlink satellites, gateways and customer hardware secure and defensible as the network expands.

Day-to-day work includes creating security infrastructure such as cryptographic services, shipping security features for the dish, router, gateways and satellites, building security into manufacturing and its supporting network services, testing prototypes of improvements, and tightening production systems. The role asks for a STEM bachelor's degree or two years in security software development, coding experience in Python, C++ or Go, and work securing operating systems or distributed systems. Network protocol knowledge, TPMs and HSMs, and an advanced degree are preferred. Extended hours may be needed.
