Product Security Engineer (Starshield)

Secures Starshield, SpaceX's government-focused satellite network built on Starlink technology, as a product security engineer in Hawthorne on the Starshield software engineering team.

The role covers security-critical services such as cryptographic infrastructure, security features across Starshield dishes, routers, gateways and satellites, security in factory processes and their network services, and prototyping, testing and hardening of production systems. Candidates need a STEM bachelor's degree or two years of security software development, experience in Python, C++ or Go, and a background implementing security for operating systems or distributed infrastructure. Applied cryptography, network and OS security, secure boot and work with TPMs or HSMs are preferred. Obtaining and holding a Top Secret clearance is required, and extended hours are sometimes needed.
