Security Analyst (Blue Team)

A frontline analyst in the SpaceX Security Operations Center, on-site in Hawthorne, defending the company against nation-state and other attackers by detecting, triaging and responding to threats in its environment.

The analyst handles security detections and anomalies, investigates incidents from first alert to root cause, gathers evidence and works with engineering teams to harden systems, contributes detections aimed at sophisticated attacker techniques, and improves endpoint and network visibility and response playbooks. SpaceX asks for a STEM degree or two years in information security, plus experience auditing Linux, Windows or macOS and using network and host collection tools. Knowledge of attacker TTPs, SIEMs such as Elastic or Splunk, scripting, forensics and cloud security, and GIAC or OSCP certifications are preferred. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required.
