Security Analyst (SOC)

A SOC analyst at SpaceX in Hawthorne who sits on the front line of the company's information security operations, spotting and responding to attacks on its environment. The role is fully on-site.

Work includes identifying, triaging and fixing security alerts and anomalies, investigating incidents through to root cause, collecting evidence and working with engineers on preventive improvements, contributing detections for sophisticated attacker behaviour, and improving visibility across endpoints and networks along with response playbooks. Applicants need a STEM degree or two years of information security experience, and familiarity with auditing Linux, Windows or macOS and with network and host collection tools. SIEM experience in Elastic or Splunk, scripting for automation, forensics, cloud security knowledge and certifications such as GIAC or OSCP are preferred. Extended hours and some travel between SpaceX sites may be required.
