Security Engineer (OT)

An OT security engineer in SpaceX Information Security, on-site at Cape Canaveral, who secures the operational technology networks behind launch, vehicle, test and production work, rockets included. The job mixes security software development with network engineering.

The engineer designs, builds and runs security for those OT networks, produces network and security architectures with diagrams and documentation, writes software that runs in OT and on-premises environments, automates data centre networking, implements segmentation and access control, and monitors, detects and responds to OT security issues alongside engineering, IT and site teams. SpaceX asks for a STEM degree or two years of security software development, Python, Go, C#, C/C++ or Rust, and experience securing operating systems or large infrastructure. BGP, Terraform, Ansible and ICS or SCADA experience are preferred. An Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral is required.
