Security Engineer (Software)

A security software engineer in SpaceX Information Security at the Bastrop, Texas site, working on-site to build and maintain the systems that enforce the company's security standards.

The engineer delivers identity and authentication services including MFA and network access control identity, automates identity lifecycle processes, keeps the infrastructure behind network security services running, manages web application firewalls and similar controls, applies cloud security policy with central configuration and monitoring, and partners with IT, legal, HR and other teams to find gaps and ship fixes. SpaceX wants a STEM bachelor's degree or two years of security software development, coding in Python, Go, C#, C/C++ or Rust, and experience implementing security for operating systems or large infrastructure. PKI, SAML and OAuth, OS hardening and TPM or HSM experience are preferred. An Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral is required.
