Security Engineer

Joins SpaceX Information Security at Cape Canaveral, Florida, as an on-site security engineer who builds and operates the systems that enforce the company's security standards across its networks and data.

Responsibilities include identity and authentication services with MFA and network access control, automated identity lifecycle management, backend infrastructure for network security services, web application firewalls and similar controls, cloud security policy, central configuration and monitoring, and documenting and advising on the systems the engineer runs. Requirements are a STEM degree or two years of security software development, Python, Go, C#, C/C++ or Rust, and experience implementing security for operating systems or enterprise-scale infrastructure. Preferred skills include PKI, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, code signing and OS hardening. Candidates must pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral and work extended hours when needed.
