Security Software Engineer (Starlink)

Writes security software for Starlink as part of SpaceX's Starlink Product Security team in Redmond, protecting the code that runs on satellites, gateways and the equipment customers install.

The work covers designing security infrastructure such as cryptographic services, building security features into the dish, router, gateways and satellites, securing factory processes and their network services, prototyping and evaluating improvements, and maintaining and hardening production systems. SpaceX wants a STEM bachelor's degree or two years of security software development, experience in Python, C++ or Go, and a record of implementing security for operating systems or large-scale systems. Network protocol depth, TPM and HSM experience and an advanced degree are pluses. Extended hours may be needed.
