About the role
A senior application security engineer on Starlink Product Security at SpaceX in Redmond, responsible for the security of Starlink.com, the Starlink mobile app and the internet infrastructure millions of customers use to manage their accounts and equipment.
The engineer builds security infrastructure for the website and app, continually audits Starlink's internet-facing systems for weaknesses, gives developers early design feedback and guidance on building secure applications, triages bug bounty submissions and coordinates fixes, and prototypes and tests improvements while protecting customer data. SpaceX asks for a STEM degree and five years of security software development, or seven without a degree, coding in Python, C++, Go or C#, and experience building application security for web or mobile apps. Web and mobile penetration testing and a record of finding serious real-world vulnerabilities are valued.
