Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer (Starshield)

A hands-on senior engineer who builds and keeps testing the cyber defences of Starshield, SpaceX's satellite constellation for the US government. The team's first duty is to be ready to respond the moment its systems come under attack.

The engineer puts Starshield's defence strategy into practice, tracks emerging threats and designs countermeasures, runs red-team style exercises and internal bug hunts, uses AI tools to find and fix flaws faster, and helps improve how intrusions are detected and handled. SpaceX asks for five or more years securing production systems (seven without a degree) and experience building adversary detection and incident response. Obtaining and keeping a Top Secret clearance is a condition of the job.
