Sr. Network Security Engineer

A senior engineer in SpaceX Security Engineering who designs, builds and runs the security of the company's corporate and enterprise networks. The job is practical: segmentation, routing and access controls, firewall platforms from Palo Alto, Check Point, Juniper and Arista, and production architectures shaped by what operations need. The engineer also leads design reviews of network security changes, sets patterns and standards, takes escalations, follows incidents through to a lasting fix and works with network engineering and IT.

SpaceX asks for five or more years of network security work (eight without a degree). Knowledge of eBGP fabrics, NAC, VPNs, WAFs, email security and SIEM alerting is a plus. The role is fully on-site in Palo Alto, with extended hours when needed.
