Sr. Security Analyst

A senior analyst in SpaceX Security Operations who acts as a first responder in the company's SOC, defending an organisation targeted by nation states and other hostile actors. The analyst triages and remediates detections and anomalies, investigates incidents from the first alert to root cause, gathers evidence, and works with engineering teams to harden systems. The role also contributes new detections aimed at advanced attacker techniques and improves endpoint and network visibility and response playbooks.

SpaceX asks for five or more years in security, networking or systems engineering (seven without a degree), knowledge of Linux, Windows or macOS internals, and host and network collection tools. Splunk or Elastic, scripting, forensics and GIAC or OSCP certifications help. On-site in Redmond, with occasional travel.
