Sr. Security Software Engineer (Starlink)

A senior security software engineer on Starlink's Product Security team who writes the code that protects Starlink's network and devices. The engineer builds cryptographic and other security-critical services, ships security features for the router, dish, gateways and satellites, designs safeguards into factory processes, and strengthens running production systems through direct changes or guidance to other teams, with prototypes and testing along the way.

The team wants five or more years developing security software (seven without a degree), Python, C++ or Go, and experience securing operating systems or large distributed infrastructure. Applied cryptography, secure boot, network security or vulnerability research skills, plus TPM and HSM experience, are valued. Based in Palo Alto; extended hours are sometimes needed.
