Sr. Security Software Enginer (Starshield)

A senior engineer on Starshield, the government-focused counterpart to Starlink, responsible for the security of software across its systems. The engineer builds cryptographic and other security-critical services, develops security features for Starshield routers, terminals, gateways and satellites, designs protections into factory processes, and raises the security of production systems hands-on or through recommendations, prototyping and testing improvements as needed.

SpaceX asks for five or more years writing security software (seven without a degree), Python, C++ or Go, and experience securing operating systems or large distributed infrastructure; cryptography, secure boot and TPM or HSM work are pluses. A Top Secret clearance must be obtained and kept, and an active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance is preferred. Based in Hawthorne.
